THE CONCEPT

Rome is a city we travel to frequently, a visit to the Capitoline museums marks the starting point of this story.
Our fascination with Greek art, and especially sculpture, goes back a long way. The search for the ‘ideal beauty’, recreating the ‘idyllic world’ of the Platonic model, has always inspired the art of ancient Rome.
Inside the museum, among so many statues and pedestals, and in a perfect state of preservation, was Antinoo. I was interested in his love story with the emperor Hadrian, in his ideal beauty, in the myth of the drop of blood that fell to become a flower and in Hadrian's elevation to God, making him a universal Deity. And it is love that makes gods.
Taking our brand to Antinoo in the 21st century is a journey to an urban and contemporary concept, where the clothes are impregnated with an air of independence and security, seeking that ideal of beauty, but adapting it to our current way of life, in a world that is not so platonic, but equally idyllic, your world.
