VOL. 17 — A GESTURE RETURNED

Last week, Russian artist Max Smolow (1980) visited Antinoo and selected a piece from our collection.
Before arriving at the store, he had spent time at Madrid's Museo Reina Sofía. Days later, he returned carrying an unexpected gift: a collage inspired by that journey.

The work brings together the museum's second-floor plan, found printed materials, our business card and Antinoo's signature red drop—the small mark that seals every package leaving the store.
Alongside the collage, Max left us a handwritten note explaining that our space had inspired the piece and that he wanted to share it with us.
We are deeply grateful that a visit to Antinoo became part of an artist's creative process.

The collage now has a permanent place in our space, reminding us that sometimes the most meaningful encounters begin with a simple conversation, a carefully chosen object, and an unexpected return.
Thank you, Max.
